About Us
Dr. David Ivey
Dr. David Ivey grew up in the Don Mills area. He graduated from Queen’s University in 1985 and from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1989. He spent 3 years working as an associate doctor in two different offices before taking over Shaughnessy Family Chiropractic from Dr. Ron Gibson in 1993. The office has been serving the Henry Farm community since 1966.
Dr. Ivey is a registered chiropractor in Ontario, a member of the Ontario Chiropractic Association, Canadian Chiropractic Association and College of Chiropractors of Ontario (www.cco.on.ca)
The Iveys enjoy living in the Henry Farm neighbourhood and are committed members of their Church. Dr. Ivey also enjoys speaking to outside organizations about a variety of issues on health and wellness including prenatal and parenting classes, churches, fitness clubs, seniors’ centres, and lunch hour lectures for offices. Please contact us if you are part of a group that would be interested in a guest speaker.
While attending a training course to use Computerized Thermography and Surface EMG scans in 1998, Dr. Ivey was introduced to research on Network Spinal Analysis. Since 1999, he has attended many Post Graduate Courses in this technique, and has transitioned the office to this tonal approach to health and wellness.
Jane Ivey
Jane Ivey is from Vancouver. She retired as a Registered Nurse to act as Office Manager when the Iveys joined the Henry Farm community. With the changes in office procedures since COVID, she is spending less time at the front desk and managing more from behind the scenes. The office operates with protocols and routine that allow the doctor to welcome the patient directly. Jane also “manages” Becca, our dog, who is frequently seen in the front window- greeting the members of our practice as they arrive.
Dr. Corey Cultrera
Dr. Corey Cultrera joined us in 2022 after graduating from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College that year. He grew up in North York and studied Kinesiology at York University where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science with Specialized Honours in Kinesiology. He enjoys hockey, fitness, personal training, being active outdoors as well as playing sports. He was introduced to Network Care as a patient himself before and while attending chiropractic college. He started studying Network technique while he was still at school and is excited to provide Network Care here at Shaughnessy Wellness, while incorporating other techniques as needed such as Arthrostim mechanical adjusting, Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilizations, Mulligan mobilizations, toggle board extremity adjusting, vibration therapy and personalized exercise prescriptions.
